WHO ARE WE?

Too many horses are abandoned, neglected, or sold into dangerous fates. At Texas Made Horse Rescue, we give them the second chance they deserve.
Founded by a family of lifelong animal lovers, we prioritize each horse’s health and happiness because we believe all animals deserve compassion and the chance to thrive. Sadly, not everyone believes animals should be treated with love and respect. We began attending horse auctions and were heartbroken to see so many malnourished, injured, and fearful horses being sold to kill buyers outside of the country. They are forced to endure long, painful journeys in crowded trailers, only to be sent to their death. We believe these horses are destined for more than that, which is why we have rescued more than 200 horses to date.
